A light and refreshing fruit wheat beer. (Actually, you can substitute any type of natural fruit flavoring.)
I like to have a lot of this beer on hand for the end of September and beginning of October, when I am usually harvesting my hops and late vegetables. There can be very warm days in Vermont in the fall, and this is an extremely crisp, rich thirst quencher. Its sourness, like that of hard cider, cools off the thirstiest hop picker. It also pairs well with venison and other fresh game.
This apricot ale won first place in the Oregon Homebrew Festival, second at the Oregon State Fair, and third at the Mill Creek Classic in 1996.
This is a light, crisp and wonderfully delicious beer Ben Knoerdel made for his wife who doesn’t like hoppy beer.
An American Pale Ale, with a touch of lemon.
